Reading Comprehension: Paraphrases and Meanings

These printable worksheets and accompanying answer sheets really zero in on subtle differences in meanings between sentences, and help middle school and high school students to take note of exact meanings. The activity requires language impaired students and students with attention deficit disorders to really break down the meaning within each sentence to determine differences among paraphrases. Also, as students improve their ability to comprehend subtle and specific meanings, they improve their ability to summarize and paraphrase by using different wording while keeping meaning intact.
