Conversation Skills: Time Limits
This activity works on increasing sensitivity to a conversational partner’s time limits, and improve the ability to convey content concisely in order to fit those needs. Following a written discussion on the need to be sensitive to a listener’s time limit, students roll dice to be assigned a hypothetical content, conversational partner, and context. Students first estimate the time needed to convey the information, and then practice providing their assigned content within that time period.
