Receptive, Expressive, and Pragmatic Language Goals for Adolescents
This product consists of sample IEP goals in the areas of receptive language, expressive language, and pragmatic language/social skills that correlate to many of the Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Writing Skills, and Social Skills products I’ve developed. The receptive and expressive language goals are appropriate for language impaired or minimally learning disabled middle school and high school students following standard academic curriculums, and cover lexicon; inferencing; general comprehension; taking notes; syntax; verbal directions, narratives, and explanations; essays; descriptiveness and specificity; and specific writing tasks: an article summary, a character description, and a complaint letter. The pragmatic language goals are appropriate for teenagers and adults who struggle with social functioning, including individuals on the autism spectrum, and cover greeting, conversations, perspective taking, and reading social cues.
