How To Improve Writing Skills Worksheets Packet

With this packet of twelve products in their repertoire, speech language pathologists, tutors, and teachers will be able to effectively help their adolescent and young adult students improve their ability to express themselves in writing. The first three products, Linguistic Specificity, Linguistic Flexibility, and Descriptive Writing: Adjectives and Adverbs, teach students to use more specific and descriptive language in their sentences. The next four, Redundancy, Clarity and Simplification, Adding Meaning: Simplify and Elaborate, and Elaboration When Answering Homework Questions, really focus on meaning, and help students improve their comprehension and their ability to express their ideas fully. Perspective Consistency and Passive and Active Voice target grammar. Character Description and Movie Reviews provide easy-to-use strategies, scaffolds, and outlines so that students can begin to incorporate all the previous writing lessons into actual essays. The last product in the writing skills packet, Complaint Letters: Reader Presupposition, is one of my all-time favorites and focuses directly on the ability to consider your reader: one of the most important skills in effective writing!
